What we do
We’re Braincare, a physician-guided clinic network offering non-invasive brain stimulation.
rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) uses magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain. MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) combines this approach with EEG and EKG recordings to help your physician develop an individualized protocol.

How it works
From your first recording to your follow-up visits, a personal path through care.
Explore the four steps below.

Your first EEG + EKG
A technician records your brainwave activity using an EEG cap. An EKG records your heart’s activity. Together, these recordings give your clinical team a starting point for your care.
Explore the full processAnalysis + physician review
Your recordings are analyzed and reviewed by a physician. This information helps guide a personal stimulation protocol, including its frequency, location, and intensity.

In-clinic magnetic stimulation
At the clinic, a trained technician positions a magnetic coil near your head. The coil delivers pulses to a targeted area of the brain according to your protocol. Your team guides you through each visit.

Follow-up recordings + review
Follow-up EEG and EKG recordings, together with conversations about your experience, help your physician assess changes and review your protocol. Your team explains the schedule that applies to your care.

MeRT stands for Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy. It combines EEG and EKG recordings with a physician-guided approach to transcranial magnetic stimulation. The recordings help inform a protocol tailored to the individual. rTMS stands for repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation.
TRICARE may cover outpatient TMS for adults with major depressive disorder when medically appropriate. Eligibility, coverage criteria, and prior authorization apply. Coverage for TMS does not mean every MeRT protocol or condition is covered. Our team can help you understand the next steps for your plan.
The evidence varies by condition and treatment protocol. Device clearance is not approval of every use of MeRT. Some uses are off-label, and individual outcomes vary. Our research library includes preliminary clinical studies as well as background research; your physician can discuss what applies to your situation.
A Client Care Coordinator takes time to understand your needs, answer questions, and explain the next steps. It is a chance to learn about the process, practical arrangements, and whether a clinical evaluation may be appropriate.
